Coaching Staff Returns
The same coaching staff will return this year. Bill Asay, Jennifer

on deck. Specific nights will be posted on the bulletin board when the season
starts. Roger Kirkpatrick (parent) will be our USA Swim Assoc./Adirondack
District team registrar. At this time, e-mail is the best form of communication
unless it is more urgent. Please notify the team parent association

Practices
Practice times will remain the same as last year,
with the exception of adding 15 minutes to double practice
nights for
longer second practice. First practice will be for younger
and new swimmers (12 and younger) and second practice will be for
13 and over and experienced swimmers. If you are not sure which
practice your child belongs in, please ask a coach. Tuesdays
will stay as older swimmers only. Placement into groups will
be decided by the coaches.
Sunday 6:00-8:45 pm
Monday 6:00-8:45 pm
Tuesday 6:00-8:00 pm
Wednesday 6:00-8:45 pm
Thursday 6:00-8:45 pm
Each day there is a 15 minute overlap time so that swimmers can arrive on deck,
get their equipment in front of their lanes and start stretching.
Likewise, first practice swimmers should make every effort
to arrive early even if they are not in the water immediately.
"in the water" time is 15 minutes after arrival times above.
Tryouts are held in September.
Entry level swimmers must be able to swim 50 yards freestyle
and 50 yards backstroke. Swimmers 13 years of age and older
must swim 100 yards freestyle and 100 yards backstroke. After
the try-out period ends, coaches MAY STILL HAVE TO
LIMIT TEAM SIZE FOR SAFETY. There has been tremendous
interest in the team. Established team members
will attend their normal sessions beginning in September. YMCA
membership is not required to try out,
but is required for the season.
