Preschool

The YMCA's Preschool philosophy has its foundation in the development of spirit, mind and body. The character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility are the basis of everything we do.

This developmental program fits the needs of the children according to their ages and individual progress. It uses a thematic approach to reading readiness, language arts, science, math, art, music, social studies, self-esteem building, multi-cultural activities, health/nutrition, fitness and social-emotional growth for children 2-5 years of age.

Classroom learning is complemented by field trips, class visitors, family and other special events throughout the year. Our goal is a happy, well-adjusted child who learns through play!

The Wesley curriculum includes an intergeneration program, which takes place at the Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs.

Note: Each student is required to be a full member or a program member of the YMCA of Saratoga. Membership fees are in addition to tuition. It is the policy of the YMCA of Saratoga not to deny anyone the use of the facility or programs due to the inability to pay. Please inquire about our financial assistance.

Additional Activities
Swim lessons are included for 3 & 4 year olds at West Avenue. Tumbling lessons are included for 3 & 4 year olds at our Wilton Branch. Music & Movement is included for 3 & 4 year olds at Wesley.

Registration is accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. You can register in person at the YMCA or on-line at www.ymcasaratoga.org beginning February 13, 2008. Early registration is suggested.

Tuition is payable in 10 monthly installments through automatic draft of a checking or savings account or credit card. The first installment of ten percent (10% - non-refundable) is required to register. The remaining installments will start in August 2008 and run through April 2009. Or, you may elect to pay the full annual fee at registration.
