FIRST NIGHT SARATOGA HEADLINE ACTS: SARATOGA SPRINGS CITY CENTER – Kevin McKrell’s Hard Road Ceilidh Band Plus Seven Nations (Irish band)!

First Night Saratoga 2008 will feature 2 incredible headline acts in the City Center that will make the evening complete for First Night revelers in search of the best “feel good” evening imaginable!!

This pairing for First Night Saratoga will be the first coupling of the two eclectic bands, and the combination promises to be one of the region’s most winning recipes ever for a night of incomparable music, uproarious personas, and a show that will have you entering the new year unbelievably buoyant and upbeat!!

Note: Due to the popularity of these acts and the mandated capacity restrictions in the City Center, it is vital that the auditorium be cleared following each act’s 40-minute sets, and exit through the Saratoga Hotel gallery doors. Please comply with this request so that the crowds awaiting entry to the next show may be treated with consideration. First Night thanks the audience for their understanding.

FIRST NIGHT OPENING CEREMONY AND FIREWORKS -- 5:30 pm
Join us for a gala opening celebration at 5:30pm outside the City Center Logia. Local dignitaries kick-off an evening to be remembered! Musical entertainment plus a special brief fireworks display behind the City Center will highlight the commencement of the evening’s events.

BROADWAY STARS ABOUND!
Experience a “sidewalk cultural cocktail” as you stroll from venue to venue. All of Broadway becomes a stage as merchants’ windows host a variety of entertainment throughout the evening. Watch for popular First Night window performances along Broadway.

FIREWORKS AT MIDNIGHT! PLEASE NOTE CHANGE!!!! MOVED TO THE FORMER REGULAR LOCATION OFF LAKE AVENUE BEHIND THE CITY CENTER!

The midnight fireworks as well as the 6 pm fireworks are now located in the REGULAR location, behind the City Center, off Lake Ave.---just a slightly lower-level show due to the building under construction there---The information in the program books and button cards as printed is INCORRECT and fireworks will be off Lake Ave as they’ve always been Fireworks sponsored by the County of Saratoga & hosted by STAR Radio 101.3 FM
