Health and Wellness Programs

Drop-in adult health and wellness classes are open to members age 14 and over. Unless otherwise specified, classes are free for members and $10.00 per day for program members. Health and Wellness schedules are available at the front desk.

Mind/Body Classes

 

Beginning Yoga
This class introduces students to a practice that integrates balance, stretching, strengthening and breath awareness. (Beginners to intermediate
class)

Half hour class for those who are short on time, but need an effective core workout. (Intermediate level class)

This half hour class is for those of you who are

pranayama, postures (asanas) and relaxation.

This class covers more advanced Pilates exercises for those who have built a foundation with our
regular Pilates class. (Intermediate to advanced

This class covers more advanced yoga exercises
for those who want a little bit more of a challenge
than the beginning yoga class. (Intermediate to advanced level class)

Intro to Yoga
This is a seven week class with 2 instructors who will lead and assist you with yoga asanas. At the end of the session, you will come away with a core curriculum (developed by the participating instructors) that will enable you to enter intermediate classes at the YMCA and elsewhere.

Pilates strengthen the muscles that support the
spine (the neck, shoulders, abs, hips and thighs) to bring balance into the body. Pilates was developed
to help realign the spine to decrease tension, increase flexibility and strengthen the body from the inside out. (Advanced to all levels class)

Morning Stretch

This full body stretch class is meant to lengthen your muscles, relieve stress & tension and increase flexibility. Join the fun with this great morning workout that provides a relaxing, yet invigorating way to start the day.  (All levels class)

A high energy flow class to open the muscles deeply through Vinyasa and Astanga flow. (All levels class)

Silver Sneakers® YogaStretch
YogaStretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity. You will not have to get down on the floor for this class. (All levels class)

TaiChi

This class is often described as meditation in motion because it promotes serenity through gentle movements – connecting the mind and the body. This graceful form of exercise can help reduce stress with regular practice. (All levels class)

Yoga-lates Fusion

A fusion of yoga and pilates.This class combines traditional pilates toning exercises with yoga stretch and relaxation. All exercises have modifications to suit any level.
