The Harness Track Mile

Entry Fee $12.00 - Adults $5.00 - Children (does not include shirt) Pre-Race Registration date will be announced. Fees are nonrefundable DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION - ADULTS $20.00 CHILDREN $5.00 Shirts Short sleeve shirt guaranteed if registered by July 30. (children's race not included) Distance One mile (twice around the track) Course The track is a 1/2 mile oval with a hard packed surface (much like the high school cinder tracks of days gone by). This track should not be confused with the soft sand surface that the thoroughbred horses race on. Check-In Day of race registration and packet pick-up starts at 4:30 pm on the ground floor of the clubhouse.		Children's Race Must be 12 and under. Race starts at 5:15 pm; half mile (once around the track). Children 6 and under will run for 1/4 mile; parents can run with children. Ribbons and Ben & Jerry's coupons to all finishers. The fee is $5.00 and does not include a t-shirt. Awards Our authentic horse shoe awards will be given to the top three finishers (win, place, and show) in 5-year age divisions, immediately following each race in the Winners Circle. Runners will be running in 10-year age divisions, but awards will be given based on 5-year age divisions. Spikes For those runners wanting to use spikes, but don't have your own, we will have some 1/2 inch loaners. Spikes are definitely not needed to run this race. BAR-B-Q A free Bar-B-Q cookout will be available for all race participants, children's race included. For family members and friends the nominal cost will be $3.00.

5:15 PM -- Children's Race (12 and under, 1/2 mile; 6 and under, 1/4 mile; ribbons and Ben & Jerry's coupons to all finishers)

5:35 PM -- Women 60-69, 70-74, 75 plus		5:35 PM -- Men 60-69, 70-74, 75 plus

5:50 PM -- Women 13 - 17		6:00 PM -- Men 13-17

6:10 PM -- Women 18-29		6:20 -- Men 18-29

6:30 -- Women 30-39		6:40 -- Men 30-39

6:50 -- Women 40-49

7:00 PM -- National Anthem

7:02 PM -- Women's open elite mile, under 6:00 minute pace

7:10 PM -- Men's open elite mile, under 5:00 minute pace

7:20 PM -- Men 40-49

7:30 PM -- Women 50-59

7:40 PM -- Men 50-59

You may race only in your age division unless elite division. Races are in 10-year age divisions, but awards will be given out in 5-year age divisions.
