Tennis
An introduction to the fundamentals, including stroke mechanics,
scoring, court strategy and etiquette. This 90 minute program
provides a sound framework for developing your game.
Adult Advanced Beginner
For the improving tennis player who isn't quite comfortable
with all their shots yet. This program targets players already
introduced to the fundamentals but not ready for a more intense
tennis environment.
Adult Intermediate Tennis
This program is geared towards the tennis player who is comfortable
with all their shots. The focus is on stroke placement and
power. We also cover ancillary shots (approach shots, service
returns, lobs drop shots, serve variations, half volleys,
etc.) This 90 minute program takes the beginner to the next
level.

Adult Round
Robin Tennis
Fridays ...strong intermediate...- Organized tennis with a round robin format. Matches arranged by staff
for strong intermediate level players. Saturdays - Unstaffed, open low intermediate tennis. Call 587-3000 on day of participation for reservations.
Adult Tennis Leagues
22 intermediate tennis leagues. Includes women, men, mixed,

Tennis Lessons
Private, semi-private and group lessons available for all ages and abilities
by Tennis Director Rolland LeBlanc and pros Fred VanAlstyne, Linda Hosmer,

Adult Drop-In Tennis
Enjoy the opportunity to test your skills against other tennis players. This
program is geared towards participants interested in playing in a non organized
setting. Monday & Wednesday Intermediate Level. Tuesday & Thursday Beginner

Teenie Tennis Tots
For children 4-5 years old, this modified program is an ideal developmental
tool for your aspiring tennis player
Aces
For children 6-7 years old, this program builds fun into learning
tennis. Skills learned are tied to abilities and interest.
A great springboard for the maturing tennis player.
Smashers
For children 8-12 years old, this program introduces a more
serious tennis environment and a deeper understanding of the
game. With a focus on drills, instruction is based on your
player's level of ability and knowledge. |

Rallys
For children 12-17 years old, appropriate skills are taught with the emphasis on each child reaching his or her potential. Players are assessed by ability, size, and age and grouped accordingly. We offer a positive atmosphere and a great opportunity for improvement. |
Gecko Tennis Academy
Located at beautiful Lake George, this acclaimed program combines fun and learning
for a rewarding tennis experience for children. This four
day program for MEMBERS ONLY includes three days at Camp Chingachgook and
one day at the Wilton branch. Appropriate skills are taught
with an emphasis on each child reaching his or her potential. A ratio of
5:2 ensures an educational, quality experience for your child. Participants
will enjoy tennis in the morning; afternoon experiences include swimming,
hiking, go-carts, mini-golf, movies [on rain days], New York Buzz matches,
Laser Tag, and more tennis!

Saratoga YMCA/City Rec. Summer Tennis Program
Week long tennis sessions are available at the East Side Rec. tennis courts for
children 6-12 years old. We offer three sessions during July & August. Sign-up
and registration is located at East Side Rec. Field House or phone Saratoga
